Your audit runs on public information. If you give us read-only access to your Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console accounts, we can also check how search and AI traffic reaches your site and whether your tracking works. Access is optional. Without it, the sections that need your account data are marked “Not measured”.

Each step below takes about two minutes. You add us as a user with your own login, so you never share a password with us.

Before you start

1. Google Analytics 4: add us as a Viewer

The Viewer role lets us read your reports and settings. It does not let us change anything. Add us to the property only, not the whole account, so we see only the website being audited.

  1. Sign in to Google Analytics and open the property for your website.
  2. Click Admin (the cog icon, bottom left).
  3. Under Property, click Property access management.
  4. Click the + button (top right), then Add users.
  5. Enter the email address in your kick-off email.
  6. Leave Notify new users by email ticked, so we know access is ready.
  7. Under the roles, select Viewer.
  8. Click Add.

2. Google Search Console: add us as a Restricted user

A Restricted user can view most of your Search Console data. It cannot change settings, submit sitemaps, remove pages or add other users.

  1. Sign in to Google Search Console and select your website from the property list.
  2. Click Settings in the left menu.
  3. Click Users and permissions.
  4. Click Add user.
  5. Enter the email address in your kick-off email.
  6. Set the permission to Restricted.
  7. Click Add to save.

3. Bing Webmaster Tools (optional): add us as Read only

Bing data shows how your site appears in Bing and in the AI answers that draw on it. Skip this step if you do not use Bing Webmaster Tools.

  1. Sign in to Bing Webmaster Tools and select your website.
  2. Click User management in the left menu.
  3. Click Add user and enter the email address in your kick-off email.
  4. In Select role, choose Read only.
  5. Leave Access scope set to your website address.
  6. Click Add.

After the audit

Within 30 days after we deliver your report, we delete the data we exported from your accounts and ask you to remove our access. You can remove it at any time, from the same screens:
